The long range forecast looks really good for melting ice. My ice out prediction for Lac Seul is sometime during the first week of May. Opening day this year is May 16th. I'm confident it won't be anything like last year, where ice remained on opening day. Keep checking back and I'll post some pictures of the boat launches and lakes as they open up.

I didn't ice fish a ton this winter and I know the updates here have been few and far between. I'll close out my ice season with one last walleye picture.

Ben the pics you posted last year, 2014, of Deception Bay just prior to ice out/opener were great. Our group is heading up for the opener again, year 30!

Rick, Sounds awesome! We will be making our way to Chamberlain Narrows next thursday.
How is the water level. In MN we only had about 1/2 our normal snow cover.

I enjoyed your comments and awesome pictures. I fish out of White Wing Resort 2 weeks end of May to mid June. Last year partner got a 29.5 walleye. Beautiful fish. My big northern was 45" and very thick. What a treat. Hope your year is the best ever. Your site is one of the best! Thanks.
